There's a BIG, BIG difference between "going to the gym for an hour" and "working out for an hour."
According to a new survey, the average person spends 35% of their time at the gym NOT working out.
Whether they're untangling their headphones, talking to other people, checking their phones, waiting for machines, or just kinda sitting around . . . they aren't working out.
That means for every 60 minutes you spend at the gym, you're only working out for about 39 minutes.
55% of the people surveyed said they take breaks to pick songs to listen to. 32% take breaks to talk to other people. (Counsel & Heal)
